Tim and Monique spent four days visiting with Aunt Mary and touring the wonderful seaport city of Genoa in the Ligurian Sea.
This day was a day of travel that included some of the best sight-seeing that the Mediterranean coast could offer.
The second day in the Cinque Terre was the most difficult day of hiking during the entire trip.
The first part of the Cinque Terre leg of the trip was another train travel day through these magically quaint fishing villages.
Day 2 in Florence started with the complimentary breakfast, cappuccino and a pastry. Monique passed on the Italian coffee, but enjoyed the pastry.
The first full day in Florence started with a leisurely walk for Tim and Monique from their flat at Casa Uffizi to the coffee shop across the Piazza della Signoria.
This next two days of the trip were train travel days, but the sights never stopped being amazing, even from their seats on the trains.
Day 3 started with filling their water bottles at the mountainside spring, then a cable car ride down to the valley floor for Tim and Monique.
The day started out with a wonderful regional breakfast and the incredible views that Tim & Monique were getting spoiled with.
Tim described seeing the Swiss Alps for the first time as like seeing Disneyland as a young child for the first time.
While on the way from the Capital of Switzerland to the Swiss Alps, Tim & Monique stopped at the city of Thun.
Traveling up to 270 km/h, the trip to Bern was not on the Eurostar, but it was definitely on a high speed train none the less.
Tim & Monique arrived in Paris, France by way of the Eurostar late in the afternoon and explored the city by foot to get a feeling their surroundings.
The first stop on Tim & Monique's European trip was an overnight stay in London where they could still communicate well.
Tim continues to visit Crater Lake national park with friends and family.
In the fall of 2022, Tim and Monique went on a trip to the state of Arizona.
This summer Tim and Monique took a break and went to a Blues Traveler concert.
Recently Tim has taken his third trip to Circles in the Sand in Bandon with Monique.
