Tim & Monique arrived in Paris, France by way of the Eurostar late in the afternoon and explored the city by foot to get a feeling their surroundings.
They settled into their hotel room and found a local neighborhood bistro for a bite to eat. The next day was a full day of touring Paris. They took a bus & boat tour which previewed many of the major attractions including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame (being rebuilt) and the Arc de Triomphe. After a full day of sight seeing, they ended the day in a downtown restaurant on a busy corner with plenty of locals going in every direction. Beef bourguignon (Julia Child's recipe) was part of the meal along with local adult beverages and desserts of course. The next day in Paris would start early with a walk before sunrise to catch the next train out of the country. We were pleasantly surprised by the early morning serenade from a young pianist at one of the walk up pianos in the Paris train station. Au revoir France. Hallo or Guten Tag Switzerland.
